Seminar: Continuum Keyboard USB Interface

. Sunday 1 January 2012

Introduction
The Continuum is a long narrow fingerboard. It has a metal case and a black flexible surface. Under the surface are 256 thin metal bars, which act like thin keys. The metal keys run lengthwise from top to bottom of the Continuum as the user is seated in front of it. In Figure 2, the top has been removed from the Continuum in order to see the metal keys. Each metal key has 2 Hall-effect sensors on it, one at the top and one at the bottom. This makes for a total of 512 sensor in the Continuum.
