Now many companies who have earned millions through their technologies are now moving towards open sourcing of their techs. They are doing this mainly to overcome the ever increasing competition in the technological world. Google made chrome popular in less than two years by choosing the way of open source. Open source gives little or no money in the beginning but it gives people many options to select from. If your product is free and open sourced then more people will use it and it will spread rapidly among the users. In addition to that the product will get improved over time by the community of users and developers.

In the year 2010, 3800 new open source based products came in the market for mobile phones, which were double as compared to year 2009.

Keep Learning from Failures

No one in this world likes the taste of failure. Everyone wants the outcome of their efforts in the form of success, but it is rarely possible. We face a lot more failures as compared to success.

Often it happens that even after working very hard and giving our full efforts we don't achive our targets. At that time instead of being depressed and sad about the failure its better to get over it as soon as we can. If we focus on some key points in our failures then they can prove very helpful in our future success.

What is Success
Its is better to define success before we even make any of our efforts to get to it. The biggest confusion for everyone is to find out the meaning of success for them. So if you can clearly define and state success for yourself then you can also find out what is failure for you which is very important to identify your targets.

Analysis is Important
Edison said that he has not failed thousand times, he has found thousand ways which do not lead to success. When we move forward with this mindset in our life then we can identify the outcome of our actions more clearly. We will think thousand times before taking any step whose outcome does not lead to success. In this way success will not be very far when we will know the reason for our failures.

Never Blame Yourself
The people who blame themselves for their failures always have a hard time taking steps to move forward. But this also doesn't mean to blame others for our failures. It is important to accept the failure and do careful future planning with a cool mindset. Always take into account your past mistakes and failures when planning for the future actions.

Have Courage
People who get broken easily after a couple of failures can never move forward on the difficult path of success. If you have the courage to keep moving even after severe and crippling failures then only you have a successful entrepreneur in you. This courage does not mean to repeat your mistakes but to make our base strong by learning from those mistakes.

Value Your Time While There is Still Time

In today's busy lifestyle we often find ourselves making excuses of lack of time. But if we complete our day-to-day work fast and with some smartness then we can stop making such excuses. This smartness means that we should always take care of our time management so that our valuable time is not wasted.

Get Rid of Unwanted Mails
You should ask yourself how much time you spend daily in reading and then replying your mails. Apart from that the important thing is that if those mails that you are replying are even related to your work or not. You should not avoid your important mails in replying and reading all those useless time consuming ones.

Get Rid of TV
Often when we sit and start watching tv then we lose track of time quickly. Also watching tv for too long can lead to many health issues. Instead of wasting your time on tv spend time with your hobbies, passions etc or you can also make use of this time to be with your family.

Always Plan Ahead
If you plan for next day in the night before then you can prepare yourself mentally more easily for the schedule of next day. By this your mind will find ways to perform better in those tasks that you have planned for the next day. Also keep those tasks in priority so that important work is completed first.

Divide Your Work
Whenever possible divide your work between other people. You can give the task of attending calls, scheduling meetings, checking important mails etc to some assistant and hence can save your valuable time. For this you can have someone work part time for you.

Learn to Say NO
One of our biggest weakness is that we cannot say no easily. Due to this habit majority of our time gets wasted in others work. To grow in career its important to avoid unimportant work and expectations of other people and co-workers. But never be rude in saying No, but also make sure not to divert your mind and energy on other things while your are working.

KATMANDU, NEPAL: Officials say bad weather has returned to the foothills of Mount Everest, forcing flights to be canceled and stranding hundreds of foreign trekkers and their guides.

Lukla airport official Laxmi Devkota said the airport has been enveloped by fog for the past four days and no planes have been able to land. Some 800 foreign trekkers are stranded.

More than 2,500 foreign trekkers were stranded for more than a week earlier this month in Lukla because of bad weather. Weather improved last week allowing them to be flown back to Katmandu. Many of them were forced to stay in tents and food supply was also running short.

The Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla is the gateway for trekkers and mountaineers heading to Everest and surrounding mountains.

Boss! I Need a Leave

When ever we want to take a leave from work then we make some excuses or give applications for that. But we keep worrying if we will get the leave or not. Well there are some ways to get your leave approved.

Complete your work on or before time
If you want leave for some days then its important to finish your work before time and then talk with your boss. It is also beneficial to do your work more effectively when your boss is on leave.

Company Policy
There are policies for taking leaves in every company. You should have complete knowledge about the paid leaves and leaves for other reasons like medical etc. Many companies have the policy to lapse the leaves if you don't take them. So you must make wise decisions about them.

Boss is always right
If work load is more in your company then discuss with your boss about your schedule,results, meetings, deliveries etc before applying for leaves. Then talk about taking the leave and let him decide and adjust your work load accordingly and by this you will also be relieved from unnecessary tension and anxiety.

Create backup
When going on a long leave and there are less employees availabe then make sure to have the backup of your work prepared. This will help your boss to have your work when its needed and you will get your leave easily.


Many times other employees also apply for a leave at the same time with you, mostly on festive seasons. So its better to adjust your leaves according to the work load. Understand the situation and do what s required from you.

Think Before Changing Your Career

Many people think that some careers demand less work and offers more growth. Having a positive thinking about this is good, but you will greatly regret after switching careers if you dont have the required skills, or you are not working enough. Success comes to those who works and prepares for it. If you can change your working and learning habits drastically then only proceed.

Analyze Deeply
Many times we chose a career which looks attractive from outside which should'nt be done. Things which are far always look good. So its better to analyze the problems and challenges that can come in any career before going for them. You can even consult any career councellor or a specialist for this.

Many jobs attract us which offer good money, but the thing to see is that how much and how fast we can grow in them. If you are thinking to switch career then first analyze and calculate the growth and learning opportunities that you are getting in your current job. If you are growing faster than others then why worry about changing your career.

Never Copy Others
We should never base our career changing decisions on the success of some relative or friend in their careers. It is not necessesary that their careers can help you in attaining that success. Compare your needs and personality with their careers and jobs and then make any decision. If you try to copy then most of the time you will find yourself going nowhere.
